Our Own Erin McLaughlin

Congratulations, Erin!!!

Erin came to us in 2003 as one of our Lockerbie Scholars from Lockerbie, Scotland. She decided to stay on at Syracuse and earn degrees in History and Drama. She was awarded a Remembrance Scholarship this year, giving her the dual distinction of being the first Lockerbie Scholar to stay on and graduate from SU, and the first Lockerbie Scholar to become a Remembrance Scholar, a scholarship created in memory of the 35 SU students who died in the 1988 PanAm 103 disaster over Lockerbie, Scotland. Erin is an incredibly involved and enthusiastic student. She is the treasurer and a past president of ASEC (Association for Student Elderly Connection), a past RA (Resident Advisor), and has been a student member of the Office of Residence Life's Diversity Committee for three years. Erin is also a member of the Cabaret Performance Troupe, Phi Alpha Theta (history honors society), Phi Beta Delta (international honors society), and a 2007 SENIOR CLASS MARSHAL. She is involved in the Holiday Sharing program, the planning of Remembrance Week, is on numerous committees, and (of course) is our
INCREDIBLE WORK STUDY!
Erin will be attending graduate school at NYU and is planning a career in Student Affairs.
. . . and we will miss her!!!
