Shared Reading

Our mission is to assist Syracuse University students to achieve their highest potential through scholarship and co-curricular involvement.

The Office of Undergraduate Studies (UGS) serves the needs of students through a variety of initiatives, beginning with the Shared Reading Program for first year students, and culminating with graduation and prestigious graduate scholarships.

Undergraduate Studies coordinates community outreach through educational and service projects in conjunction with the Remembrance Scholars, Lockerbie Scholars, the Holiday Sharing program and the United Way, to name a few.

A major focus of Undergraduate Studies is the identification of, as well as mentoring and support for, students applying for prestigious graduate fellowships and scholarships, such as Fulbright, Luce, Marshall, and Rhodes.

Undergraduate Studies staff assist in the coordination and implementation of the Academic Integrity initiative, a core value of Syracuse University and its community of scholars, and are key team players in the maintenance and enhancement of the MySlice Advising Web Pages.

We invite you to visit our office in 304 Steele Hall.
